Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) is playing an important role in connecting India’s youth with the National Education Policy (NEP) and supporting the vision of a developed India.
He made these remarks while addressing the annual management conclave YUGANTAR ’26 held at Delhi University in May. He said institutions like SRCC are helping shape future-ready students through ongoing reforms in higher education.
The minister said the AI Impact Summit 2026 in the national capital reflects India’s strong innovation ecosystem and its growing strength in emerging technologies. He stressed that NEP 2020 should be implemented in its true spirit to unlock students’ potential and further strengthen the education system.
He also noted that India is taking responsibility to represent the Global South in the fields of artificial intelligence and advanced technologies.
Speaking during SRCC’s centenary year, he said the institute’s Diploma in Global Business Operations is expected to be upgraded and recognised as a degree programme soon.
He added that this step will enhance global exposure and improve practical learning opportunities for students. He also highlighted that closer collaboration between academic institutions and policy frameworks is key to building a strong and future-ready education system.
The minister further said that learning based on innovation will help match education with evolving industry demands and equip students for new and emerging career opportunities.
He added that NEP 2020 can bring a positive transformation in higher education by promoting skill development, entrepreneurship and leadership among young learners. The event highlighted India’s growing focus on education reform, innovation, and long-term national development goals in a positive direction.
