Background:

At the IndiaAI 2026 Summit in New Delhi, Navneet Education signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding with the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar to strengthen artificial intelligence (AI) education in Indian schools.

The partnership creates a structured academic–industry model to integrate AI learning into the K–12 system. Navneet said it will focus on preparing teachers first before expanding AI instruction across classrooms. The company’s AI initiative already works with more than 500 schools and over 2,000 teachers in 14 states.

Under the agreement, IIT Gandhinagar faculty and experts will conduct virtual AI training sessions for school teachers. These sessions will simplify AI concepts and improve applied understanding. The institute will review and approve AI textbooks and learning materials made by Navneet to ensure they meet academic standards. Publications will include a special section with insights from IIT Gandhinagar experts.

The collaboration will introduce an annual virtual AI training programme for students from Grades 3 to 10. Students from IIT Gandhinagar will lead these sessions, teaching younger learners AI basics and guiding them on career paths.

Navneet will present real business challenges to IIT students through its Product Labs for AI and Automation. Students will solve these problems using AI tools while guided by industry mentors.

Both institutions plan to organise a national-level AI hackathon to encourage innovation and problem-solving among school and college students.

Harshil Gala, President – CBSE & EdTech at Navneet, said AI is becoming a key skill for the future workforce, and teacher empowerment remains central to change. Prof. Amit Prashant, Dean of External Relations at IIT Gandhinagar, said that teaching AI early with strong fundamentals will help develop responsible innovators.

The MoU aims to build a sustainable AI learning ecosystem and prepare students for a technology-driven future.
