Dr. Subramanya is a renowned researcher, administrator, and academician. He holds a B.E. in Industrial and Production Engineering from Bangalore University, an M.Tech in Industrial Management, an MBA in Human Resources, and a Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management.
To further enhance his expertise, Dr. Subramanya has completed specialised courses in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and Engineering Consultancy Practice (ECP) at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru. He also holds certifications in Educational Leadership from NPTEL and “Leaders of Learning” from Harvard University.

During his tenure at RVCE, Dr. Subramanya has held several pivotal positions, including Professor and Head of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management, Director (Administration), Vice Principal, and presently, Principal.
He has supervised over 100 undergraduate and postgraduate projects and is actively engaged in research and doctoral supervision, having mentored four Ph.D. scholars. His areas of research expertise encompass Supply Chain and Logistics Management, Lean Manufacturing, Simulation, e-Enterprise Modelling, Quality Management, Ergonomics, Strategic Management, and Decision Sciences.
Dr. Subramanya has an extensive publication record, with 44 papers in international journals, 19 in national journals, 64 presentations at international conferences, and 29 at national conferences. He is editor and has contributed 11 book chapters for the book: “Innovations in Electronic Materials: Advancing Technology for a Sustainable Future,” published by Springer in partnership of international authors.
His commitment to applied research is evidenced by two granted patents: one for a Solar-Hybrid Refrigeration System for vegetable preservation, and another for a Multi-Layered Mask embedded with hydrophobic nanofibers designed for COVID-19 protection.
