Inauguration of First Year B.E. Courses 2025-26

Inauguration

MVJ College of Engineering conducted the Inauguration of First Year B.E. Courses 2025-26 on 17 September 2025 from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M. in Dr M. V. Jayaraman Auditorium.

The event commenced at 10:30 AM and was attended by the Chief Guest, Padmabhushan Dr B. N Suresh (Founding Director and Chancellor, Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, Trivandrum and Chairman, Board of Governors, MVJCE), Chairman, Shri M. J. Balachandar, Principal, Dr Ajayan K R, Deans, HoDs, faculty members, parents and students. The inauguration began with a soulful invocation song by fifth-semester CSE students, setting a serene tone for the event. This was followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Dr B. N. Suresh, Shri M. J. Balachandar, Dr Ajayan K. R., Dr M. Brindha, and Dr Salim.

Dr Hameem Shanavas, Dean of Student Affairs, extended a warm welcome to all attendees through his welcome address. The Principal, Dr Ajayan K. R., then presented the college report, outlining the institution’s key achievements and recent developments. Dr M. Brindha, Dean of Accreditation, formally introduced the Chief Guest, Dr B. N. Suresh, who then delivered an inspiring keynote address. In his speech, Dr Suresh emphasised the importance of continuous learning and skill development, encouraged students to remain curious, disciplined, and collaborative, and explicated the critical role engineering education plays in nation-building. He concluded by wishing the students a successful and enriching academic journey. As a mark of appreciation, the Principal felicitated Dr Suresh with a shawl and a memento.

Subsequently, the college recognised the achievements of Team Abhimanyu 8.0, who secured 2nd place among 45 teams at the National Aerospace Conceptual Design Competition, organised by the Aeronautical Society of India. Team members who are currently present at the college, Kavana S. and Muhammad Muzaffar were awarded certificates and medals by Dr B. N. Suresh. The event concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr Srinivas L. Gombhi, Dean of Academics, followed by the National Anthem.
