The programme will be offered through IIT Delhi’s Continuing Education Programme (CEP), a statutory body of the institute.

IIT Delhi said the course is designed to prepare future leaders who can respond to emerging trends in the healthcare system. India’s healthcare landscape is witnessing rapid changes due to digital health adoption, medical device innovation, artificial intelligence-based diagnostics and the growing use of wearable technologies. The new programme helps professionals gain the skills they need to succeed and lead in this changing environment.

The five-month program offers live online classes on weekends and includes dedicated time for project work. This setup lets working professionals join without affecting their regular jobs.

Candidates applying for the course must hold a bachelor’s degree and should have prior work experience or project-based exposure. IIT Delhi said this requirement ensures that participants bring practical understanding and industry perspective into classroom discussions and project work.

The programme fee has been set at ₹1,30,000 plus applicable GST. On successful completion, learners will receive an e-certificate from CEP, IIT Delhi.

The curriculum focuses on hands-on and innovation-driven learning. Participants learn to find gaps in healthcare delivery using data, empathy, and clinical insight. The course teaches design thinking to help learners create useful healthcare products and services. Hands-on training includes building prototypes with 3D printing, using digital tools, creating wireframes and developing medical apps.

In addition, learners will study usability testing, regulatory frameworks, intellectual property standards, and quality requirements. The programme also addresses branding, pricing, sales strategies, funding options, and scaling healthcare ventures.

IIT Delhi said the initiative reflects its commitment to supporting innovation and entrepreneurship in critical sectors such as healthcare.
