The Delhi Government has launched a new ‘School Web App’ to make education in the city more digital, clear, and efficient. The application is intended to bring students, teachers, and parents on a single platform and thus provide them with easy access to the most vital school services.
Through the app, users can check timetables, homework, attendance, study materials, and exam results online. The program is designed to lessen the school-related paperwork, facilitate the communication process, and enhance the exchange of information between the school and parents.
Speaking at the launch, Education Minister Ashish Sood said the initiative supports Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Digital India and Viksit Bharat 2047 visions. He said the new platform will help make education more accessible and ensure that important information reaches students without delays.
“The true spirit of digital empowerment is when information reaches students directly, without delay or dependence,” said Sood. He added that the app will also inspire students to think creatively and develop entrepreneurial skills by giving them access to online learning tools and resources.
The minister said that the app reduces teachers’ administrative work and helps them focus more on teaching and guiding students. Parents will also benefit by being able to track their child’s academic performance in real time.
The initiative follows the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which encourages digital and skill-based learning. It also supports the Fit India movement activities and aims to make education more balanced and complete.
Sood thanked the developers and educators behind the project, saying the app marks a major step toward building a digitally empowered education system in Delhi.
