Background:
In a big step to improve engineering education in India, byteXL, one of the country’s fastest-growing education technology companies, has teamed up with HackerRank, a global leader in coding and skill tests.
This partnership will give thousands of students in byteXL’s partner colleges access to coding tests, mock interviews, and skill practice tools to help them prepare for jobs in the tech industry. For the first time, students from Tier 2 and Tier 3 institutions will get access to the same learning and practice platforms used by top global companies like Amazon, Microsoft, and Bloomberg.
By using HackerRank in its learning program, byteXL will help students build job-ready skills and prepare better for placements. Colleges that join the program will also see improved placement results and more trust from employers.
Speaking about the partnership, Karun Tadepalli, Co-Founder and CEO of byteXL, said, “This is a milestone for the Indian skilling ecosystem. Students from smaller towns will now have access to the same tools and benchmarks as those applying to top tech firms. It will help them approach interviews with confidence and industry-relevant skills.”
Adding to this, Vivek Ravisankar, CEO of HackerRank, noted, “The role of a developer is evolving rapidly. “Our partnership with byteXL helps us work with universities to train students and get them ready for future job opportunities,” said Vivek Ravisankar, CEO of HackerRank.
This partnership also makes top-quality coding tests and assessments more accessible to students, which were earlier limited to company hiring rounds or costly private programs.
Through this collaboration, byteXL aims to make job readiness easier to measure and achieve, helping Indian students reach global technology standards and build a stronger connection between education and employment.
